Face lifts and Snow

Yea to a new looking blog!! I felt like the old look was depressing, dark and confusing. Spring is hopefully coming soon, so I figured I might as well do spring cleaning on here too. I like the bright look of the new one for the most part, but don't be surprised if you see some small little tweeks here and there later on.

Last time I was here in Salt Lake City, my little sister and I went to the Sephora store and wandered up and down just about every aisle. I've been seeing alot of foundation contouring and was wanting to try it.  The consultant guided me toward Urban Decay Naked Skin Liquid foundation and 25/7 concealer pencils. I am completely and 100% converted for life. I feel like I get such a good outcome from the products that I don't really mind spending close to $100 on 3 products.

This is fabulous me first thing in the morning. I will be the first to admit that I don't have the most perfect skin. I am prone to problem areas and I do have splotchy skin color all over. (PS these were done in my hotel room and took a totally of 4 mins)

I first put on Keihl's face moisturizor then did my conturing lines. I looked on Pinterest and youtube and got some ideas of the best way to do them for my face shape.

The final shot. I then got a foundation brush and put just alittle bit of the liquid foundation on and blended it all in together. It does take some time to make sure you get it all blended in but the outcome is awesome!

I feel like my skin looks so much better and I don't feel like half way through my day I have to reapply.

Now for some random pics of my last week.

PUG DAY!

I am back and fully functioning! Well, computer wise that is. J took some time and did a overhaul on my laptop. SOO grateful! Busy last couple weeks flying an obscene amount and throwing in alittle time to make it home to see family and my baby girl Harley.
If any of you know me, I am obsessed with my pug and pugs in general. I don't know what it is about those cute faces, piggy tails and snorty noses that does it for me. So, today's post is on pugs! And I'm doing it because it makes me happy!

My love Harley girl

This made me smile today!

This is Harley getting a good scratch from me last time I was home! Just to give you an idea of how loud she is .... all the time!

If you have some time, (so sad and slight embarrassing how happy this YouTube video makes me) but go to YouTube and watch Loca, the pug that can't run. http://youtu.be/C9IeFRlZQDk

Also, here are some random pics of my adventures the last couple weeks!

Sponge curler failure

I've been doing quite a bit of Pinteresting lately and have been seeing so many cute ideas, mainly with sponge curlers. I figured it couldn't be too hard, and put them in last night after I showered then went to bed. Let's just say when I took them out this morning it was a nightmare. Half of my head was full of Shirley Temple curls while the rest was wet and frizzy.
So, in a crunch to get to work, I wet curled the failure curls and came up with this updo.
By the way if anyone has ANY tips for using sponge curlers, send them my way. I love love to achieve a sexy Marilyn Monroe look.

Craziness!

The last month has been nothing but crazy! Lots of working and traveling but I wouldn't have it any other way. I'll apologize beforehand if the layout looks funny! My laptop crashed on me so I'm making do with my phone until I can get it fixed.

My beautiful older sister had my nephew, Sawyer James, just a little bit ago, and we are all so excited. He's the first baby in the family and is spoiled as sin. I know everyone says their nephew is the cutest but seriously my nephew is the cutest thing in the world!

Hmm what else.. I got a new beautiful tattoo... My first BIG tattoo along with my small ones but I love it so much and am looking forward to finishing it. I guess I am just getting closer to being the modern day pin up girl.

I'm just going to do a cluster of pictures from the last couple if weeks. Please forgive me... And do me a favor. Send good wishes/karma/prayers/anything good my family's way! My poor grandparents who live in Puerto Rico are both in serious condition in the ER. My grandmother went in with severe abdominal pain, and doctors can't figure out what's wrong. My poor grandfather was so stressed out that he gave himself a stroke which resulted in a massive brain hemorrhage. They transported him to a different hospital away from my grandma and haven't given very many updates. So, I will be focusing on my family at this time and will give updates as they come!

Failed attempts at Legoland

I love going to Carlsbad and I was even more happy when I got in early enough to try to go Legoland. Did I mention that I have tried to go 3 times now and it has been closed. (Yes, I know that I should have done a bit more research to see if  they were even open, but I just assumed they would be, silly me.) SO being closed yet again, I have made it my personal goal to go! But I was lucky enough to see a Sponge Bob Lego!
Yes, I have a weird love for Sponge Bob and still watch the show regularly.

Walk along the cliffs in San Luis Obispo.

Beach in San Luis Obispo.

The tide was really low the day I was there so there were tide pools everywhere filled with starfish, crabs and sea anemones.

HUGE Anemone!!

I do have some very exciting news! J and I are going to Japan for my birthday in May for a week! I know, it's crazy that I'm a flight attendant and haven't been to any exciting, out of the country places yet. Well, I went to the Bahamas for Christmas once and landed in Mexico and Canada but was not in either location for longer then 30 minutes so I don't think it counts. SOOO I'm very excited to be going! Also we might be able to catch the last little bit of the cherry blossoms which would be a huge thing for me to witness and would let me cross it off of my bucket list. So any ideas or places we should go there, please let me know!
